Insert new layers and lower the opacity of your brush and see what happens when you paint over the picture. It's all about experimentation! :D

btw do you know where I can get PH again? I got a new laptop and I need PS again but i cant re-use the one i had(lost the original) D: got any ideas?

I really like your color choice :D
I agree with Aeirus, the colors do seem a little flat. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product. Would you like some help with the nose? I would be more than happy to help you, if you wanted ^_^

Thank you very much for your kind compliment ;__;, and advice! i will do my best!, do you have any more specific instructions on the coloring? if not it's fine ^^, oh yes...about the nose....you could sasy it's my styel <,<; sorry it's a disturbing style I know but it's just a habit I picked up that intergrated it's way into my style D: I should put one in shouldn i T___T...I see how the final turns out, I may ask for your guidence then please and thank you(m U__U m)

I'm not very good at coloring myself and don't normally color my work, so I'm not the best person to ask for advise.
I would recommend that you play with different color shades to create highlights in her hair as well as shadowing/creases on the banner and the pinwheel. I would also suggest creating some kind of background, like grass to help fill in the empty white space.
I hope that this is helpful and feel free to ask if there's anything else you want advise on :)

ohh you have some really good advice!! thank you so very much!!!! I really liked the background idea I was so focused on the character herself I forgot about the background! I may take you up on the idea of a grass field background ^^ thanks so much again!!!! ^^
