OMG This past week April 20th - 24th
has been the best 5 days of my life O__O in small and large ways!!!! I just really felt like writing this down for future references just incase it might have actually been a fragment of my imagination O___O;; well continuing on with my explanation of the past 5 days of the best week of my life....
It really started on wed so I'll quickly say that mon adn tus were just nice normal days where I had really good tennis form!
so starting with wed!
well on wed I was having a normal day as always, except the fact iw as dressed more out of uniform then usual that week wearing black and red. as i casually pass the day inconspiciously out of uniform I was later called by the school office my thoughts that momement were;
"...oh shit...I'm in trouble aren't I? but what for!?
1)the skipping of class?
2)messing with the teachers heads?
3) did they see the photo's in the year book (I won most uniform infractions award XD)and finally notice i dont wear my uniform properly at all!? etc...
As I walked down to the office the probability of it being my uniform issues increased as my teacher fussed as told me to change just in case. XD She's never minded it in her class or in the halls before but when it's for the office she freaks! anyways as i arrived having put on my uniform on as properly as i could. and there i stand waiting for my judgement as teh office lady talks on the phone i stare and she notices me slipping me a letter. I stared adn took it walking out, reading the outter contents of it.
The sender was the terry fox foundation (there's a ontario poster contest they hold every year for students across ontario to participate in), incidentlly I was participating this year for the hell of it since it was my last year and our school had. Alrady won 2 years in a row, the two winners being my friends encouraged me to enter as well. So i did making 2 posters which I had totally forgotten about, the letter had reminded me, as i recalled the frantic me who was fussing over it last semeseter. I was surprised and yet not so surprised at the letters apperance as i waved it in the air and continued back to class un-uniforming myself back to the norm. Thinking nonchantly about it definitly being a rejection letter
(reason: I've beeing getting alot of rejecttion letter and talks about expecting rejection letter for the past few months since 2nd sem. started...)
Anyways when i finally get back to class I sit down flopping the letter on my desk. debating over wether i should try to pay attention to the spazz teacher talkinga bout something I didnt get cuz i wasnt there for a good half of it. So i decided to read over the rejection letter seeing it was the only form of entertainment, I had at that moment, perking my interest because of it's mysterious yet obvious contents so i slowly opened the letter taking my time to savour every moment of this short lived entertainment. finally opened and readable I looked over the content searching for the works "Thank you for participating but we are sad to inform you that you were not chosen--" or somthing like that. But do you know waht the first word i read was O___O
"CONGRATULATIONS!" I was wide eyed and stunned, i wuickly skimmed the first 2 sentences in such a state of shock that non the the content sunk in on the words "congratz" rung in my head i poked my friend (who was actully last years poster winner XD) and gave her the letter as i gave it to her ans as she read I begun to think it was all and fragment of my imagination. Disbeleiving what i had saw thinking I must have miss read seomthing O__O but my friend confirmed it was me who had won O___________O were randomly high fived each other then in class!
This was my first contest I had every won and one of the few I would participate in I think i've only done 3-5 at most in my entire life. I was so over come by this I was in dis-beleif of it till I had people after people confirm for me by congragulating me this continued on till the end of the week.
BUT!!! that is not the end of my BEST WEEK OF MY LIFE!
Thursday! thanks to my friend I learnd that one of my most admired canadia world manga artists was doing a signing DownTown at the lybrinth near spadina this artist was none other then!!!;
SVETLANA CHMAKOVA!!!!!!!!!!!
THE CREATOR OD DRAMACON & NIGHSCHOOL (new work!)
Her signing was at 6:30 I headed down at 5 dragging the random bystander/photographer AbstractCrazy14 she was free so i asked her to tag along and she kindaly did! happily and regretfully she saw my other side my fanmode side..... I trust her enough to keep it a seceret but still sigh...so yesss at 6:30 I had bought flowers and was glanceing at the manga selves and door back and forths keeping eye's and ears open for the prey XDafter not to long i decided to by my books(night school) as i waited while i stood in line dazed SHE CAME O___O;; out of nowhere when my gaurd was low! BAM!!! with her awsomeness I was hit without warning and struck full force with it falling at her will & whim! (happily i may add XD)
As i waited regretfully inline to pay for my books D
the line for her signing began to form and crowd the store D: i waited antsy in the line for my turn when i finally payed I was stiff as a rock in the singing line mentally preparing myself and physically preparing my books for her signature. my friends were ahead of me and got theirs signed first as it reached my turn I handed her the flowers i bought to show my fandom and love of her works. She kindly accepted them and signed all of my books there was light chating between me/friends and Ms. Chmakova she was so nice ;____; it was awsome!!! her signature is so pretty and she drew awsome chibi's for us all!! D: D: D: to cool!!!!as photo's were taken of my in my fnadom mode. Comments were made threats were confirmed my black list grew but over all it was awsome!!! after she signed me & my frinds stuff we waited for a chance to talk to her again about more stuff!
I really jsut wanted to ask her about my manga since i was a aspring manga artist, and she being a pro! I was dying for a opinion or advice!!!! but iw as so emberressed me and my friends made a overlly exaggerated scene of trying to drag me from behind the book shelves so i could present myself and my manga properly to her. After much consideration and a light joke threat by the funny/nice store manager I got the guts (to hide behind my friend) as i apprached her with one of my older mangas
(REALLY regreting not bring my cketch book that day T______T)
As i presented it just like in her manga Dramacon just like her character Lida she looked at it carefully and wholeheartly respecting my privicy (i only showed her specific pages)and giving me good adivece on what i should consider and study in the future. after she looked over my sketches she was very kind in giving me good advice about life drawing and backgrounds, giving examples of how she became how she is today abotu webcomic's etcc... I learned so much and I was inspired so muchhhhh
after that we took a bunch of group photo's and my & my friends left the sotre dramaticlly yet cooly XD XD XD XD. that ended Thursday's awsomeness on to Fri!!!
MANGASTUDIO FRIDAY!!!!!! I GOT MAGASTUDIO THANKS TO ~moodyPI!!! DUDE YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!!!to end off this awsome week I got an awsome program that will change my life for ever!!!!! Manga studio! absolutly the best thing you could give to an aspiring manga artist! O____O for the entire Friday I was messing around with MS and I LOVE IT!!!!!!! I feel like this will revolutionalize my future as a manga artist!!! I've drawn a bunch of things and leanred just as much it's increadiable
This help end my week in the most amazing way possiable!!!!!
